Our Story

Our Beginnings

The year 1979 was a turning point for Jack Rothenberg, the founder of Rothenberg Wealth Management. As a successful advisor with a leading life insurance company, he observed many changes were occurring in the financial services industry and the consumer would need a new kind of financial organization to help cope with the changes. And so, Jack began his journey as an entrepreneur in financial services.

Rothenberg & Rothenberg was founded by Jack in 1979 and focused on life insurance with an expertise in annuities. The company began modestly in a small office in Westmount Square in Montreal with one employee.
Expansion & Growth

In response to the growing demand for more progressive investments, Rothenberg Wealth Management was founded in Montreal in 1986 and obtained a Mutual Fund’s Dealer license.

Initially, in 1995, Rothenberg Wealth Management was an independent, full-service wealth management firm. In 2025, Rothenberg Wealth Management joined Harbourfont Wealth Management, and is now an advisory team offering Canadians holistic, unbiased, and transparent advice in the areas of retirement planning, estate planning, taxation, and portfolio management.
Today & Into the Future

Since establishing our roots more than 40 years ago, we’ve grown to be nationally recognized with thousands of clients from coast to coast.

In 2025, we joined Harbourfront Wealth Management Inc. as an independent advisory team. Harbourfront’s values align with ours as we continue to lead with excellence in the field of wealth management, delivering personalized services, optimal results, and partnering with clients from all walks of life who share a commitment to the process required to achieve financial prosperity.
